SOAR Experiences
Specialized Outdoor Adaptive Recreation Experiences
Available at multiple venues in NY & CT
SOAR Experiences is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community health program that provides adaptive hiking and other outdoor activities to people with limited mobility (i.e. spinal cord injury, tramatic brain injury, amputee, stroke, disease, etc) at no cost.
NORA founded the program in 2019 and expects to serve approximately 400 chair guests at 12+ venues in NY & CT in 2026. We welcome rehabilitation hospitals, clinics, universities and rehab groups. SOAR’s public adaptive hikes are free to chair guests and their families, funded by donations, business sponsorships, grants and the Trager Family businesses.
Your support opens the trail to adventure, connection, confidence, and the healing power of nature for participants and their families creating moments that many never thought possible again. Your tax-deductible donation helps provide life changing experiences.
